ATS Series with Digital Display Setpoint

ATS Series AC Current Sensors combine a current operated switch and transducer into a single package. The FL model features a digital display that gives visual indication of the setpoint for greater accuracy. The sensor provides a solid- state contact which will change state when the current exceeds an adjustable level or falls below the normal running current. This means reduced installation time, plus the option to have local control of a starter coil while at the same time sending the analog signal back to a controller housed in a separate cabinet.

DS1 DC Current Sensor – Detecting Very Low DC Current Levels

DS1 – DC Current Sensor in a Compact, One-Piece Design for Detecting Very Low DC Current Levels.

The DS1 DC current switch is smaller than other DC current sensors and simpler to use. It is non-adjustable so the output closes when there is current and opens with there is no current. It uses the same circuit voltage to power the sensor as the circuit being controlled so it is easier to install than other sensors. The DS1 current sensor can be powered by any DC voltage between 10 and 28 volts, and the solid state “contact” closes with a minimum of 0.75 amps DC through the sensing window. The contact can control a DC load up to one amp, up to 30 VDC.

ATS AC Current Transducer

The ATS AC Current Transducer/Switch. Monitoring High Current Loads Easy and Safe.

The new ATS Series is specifically designed to protect loads with current levels up to 1200A. This patent pending, one-piece solution combines a limit alarm (switch) with an analog output signal transducer. The large sensing window provides complete isolation between the primary circuit and the controls. The ATS eliminates the need to use a screwdriver inside an energized control panel to manually adjust the sensor. Helps with NFPA70E compliance.

Conveyor Jam Protection – NK Technologies

When conveyors jam and the drive motor continues to run, expensive mechanical damage to the drive components often occurs. By installing an NK Technologies’ Current Operated Switch an overload condition, detected by higher than normal running amps, can be used to switch off power to the motor before mechanical damage results. The switch setting can be adjusted so it is not affected by normal changes in conveyor load. Current operated switches are the modern day equivalent of less reliable electromechanical jam relays that have been in use for many decades.

In situations where there may be large variations in load an NK Technologies Current Transducer can be used to monitor conveyor motor amp draw and output this data to the conveyor control systems, commonly a PLC. The PLC may be programmed to accomodate different setpoints for different mechanical loads so that jam protection is provided from light to heavy loads. In situations where the conveyor is not able to accept analog signals NK Technologies has developed a patented transducer with a frequency output suitable for the Digital Inputs of most PLC’s.
