Expanded Line of Geared Resolvers Eliminates Gear Reducers in Many Position Sensing/Control Applications. Electro Cam Corp. has expanded its offering of geared resolvers to include ratios from 2:1 to 36:1, eliminating the need for external gear reducers in many applications where outputs are tracked over multiple revolutions, and significantly increasing resolver input effectiveness.

Coupled with Internal High-Speed Logic technology in Electro Cam Corp.’s PLµS controllers, the wide range of geared resolvers makes it feasible to control the majority of machine processes.

Electro Cam geared resolvers have a specific ratio of resolver input shaft turns to resolver shaft turns. The gear reduction allows users to convert multiple machine shaft revolutions into one resolver shaft revolution without adding gear boxes, pulleys, or sprockets to obtain proper ratios.

The new geared resolvers are ideal for a variety of applications, including form/fill/seal packaging machines, cartoners, conveyors, printing, silk screening, lumber processing, metal grinding, and material handling equipment.

All Electro Cam resolvers feature heavy-duty dual bearing construction and standard mounting configurations.
