What We Do?
We provide advanced revenue grade metering hardware and software for electric metering, energy tracking and energy management. We combine the latest microprocessor technologies with open systems and the Internet to unlock the opportunities and provide data in real time.
We are pioneers in offering a revenue grade meter that can directly interface and control an IP enabled thermostat allowing end users to manage their energy usage and reduce their peak demand.
Users can easily access key information such as billing, real time consumption, demand and load profile data. Our Energy@Desktop software and Power@DeskTop applications provides the ability to acquire data from our devices, display and store the information.
Our advanced technology utilizes open protocols for transmitting energy metered data over the Internet enabling easy access and development of custom client applications to extract data from the our meters and data loggers. Our meters have the ability to transfer metered information over the Internet via IP, FTP, SMTP (email) or SOAP Web Services (HTTP).
The data generated by our meter is encapsulated in XML data Islands. The XML data format is the same in http, email, ftp or SOAP Web Service client which provides a standardized method of data extraction irrespective of the mode of communication for metered energy data transfer. Energy Tracking has encapsulated metering data using open protocols such as XML so that the data can be accessed easily.
Our Web Enabled Electric Meter (WEM-MX) is an Internet enabled, broadband ready smart electric meter for commercial and industrial applications. It can be deployed as a primary meter, submeter or used for other electric metering applications such as demand reduction. Besides tracking peak demand (kW) and energy consumption (kWh), this advanced meter integrates many important features and provides enhanced functionality.
Its open system design facilitates world-wide deployment to populate applications with real time data based on accurate measurements. This electric meter is designed to meet requirements for data on demand from multiple users. Traditional meters focus only on single user applications at fixed time intervals.
It is the right solution in today’s complex energy markets combining low cost, high accuracy, minimum cost of communications with real time data access and reporting.
This sophisticated web enabled meter combines elements of simplicity, is highly functional and reduces overall ownership costs. Since most facilities already have an existing network, the cost of communication is virtually nil.

This advanced meter provides peak demand (kW) with a date and time stamp informing you as to when the peak demand occurred. It also has the capability to periodically record and store interval data usage (load profile) based on a user defined interval of 1 minutes to 60 minutes or more. This functionality helps identify where, when and how much energy was consumed say, every 15 minutes. It can also store energy consumption by time-of-use (TOU). This allows end users to identify how much energy was consumed during different periods of the day. Configuration settings are done via its on board web server.
This smart meter can be used as a demand meter, time-of-use (TOU) meter or load profile meter – providing the right functionality for sub-metering, energy management and other metering applications such as demand reduction. Also, it boasts a wide variety of features like XML data encapsulation and broadband connectivity enabling it to transmit data via email, ftp or SOAP Web Service client. Reports can also be accessed via its web server.
The supporting software application Energy@DeskTop enables an end-to-end solution from measurement to acquisition to energy management.

Web Enabled Pulse Logger:
Energy Tracking’s Web Enabled Pulse Logger (WEPM) meets the need for a low cost device for submetering to record pulses from Utility gas / electric meters as well as pulses from flow meters such as steam, oil, water, propane, etc. The WEPM is a versatile 4-channel pulse data logger with Ethernet communications. Consumption data are easily acquired in real-time via email, ftp, SOAP Web Service client or via direct access to its internal web server.
WEM-IO: Web Enabled Relay For Energy Management And Load Control.
Energy Tracking’s WEM-IO is highly versatile that makes it an ideal product for demand response applications as well as for applications that require an IP enabled pulse input data logger with relays to enable load control with reporting in real time over the Internet. Its built-in logic enables remote or automated load control allowing duty-cycling, threshold triggering, input triggering and relay triggering on demand. It can also trigger a relay in the event of a power loss due to its lithium ion battery backup.
The WEM-IO’s network interface provides 10/100 Base-T Ethernet access and advanced real-time reporting capabilities via email, ftp, built in web server and XML / SOAP Web Service client. It can also directly communicate with Energy Tracking’s WEM-MX electric meter to acquire the current load (kW) and trigger one or more relays based on user defined threshold settings.
The ability of the WEM-IO to communicate via Ethernet makes it an ideal product for demand response applications which allows for two-way communications and real-time load controlling via TCP/IP. The WEM-IO can periodically initiate communications with a remote web server asking for a further directive. The web server can issue commands that will be used to engage or disengage the WEM-IO’s relays.
This smart device can report the state of the relay(s) and can also provide load profile data on demand or periodically via SOAP Web Services.
The WEM-IO is primarily designed to provide a low cost mechanism to enable load reduction and transmit real-time data using the Internet. It also has a embedded web server which allows manual control of the relays as well as setup of the various automation modules built into the WEM-IO.
As always, Energy Tracking’s products use 100% open protocols and the data reported by the WEM-IO is always in XML irrespective of the mode of reporting.
Energy Tracking’s WEM-IO enables users to have access to a web enabled relay module to efficiently manage loads manually or use its built-in automated options for energy management applications.
