Stand Alone Controllers

Stand Alone Control Products : Programmable Limit Switch Controllers

Advanced Micro Controls, Inc. is a pioneer of Programmable Limit Switch (PLS) technology. For almost two decades AMCI has been delivering stand alone solutions that offer value and field tested reliability to customers.

Our iPLC Series set the benchmark with its release; using the latest technology and the broadest range of features available anywhere. These units became an instant success and a recognized standard. Years later, AMCI continues their ongoing commitment to outstanding PLS designs with the Genesis line of PLS controllers, designed around industry application.

EasyPack GENESIS Programmable Limit Switch Controller for Packaging

Features:

  • Two level function operator keypad
  • 4 line x 20 character vacuum fluorescent display
  • Industry leading warranty and support
  • 100% compatible with entire line of AMCI brushless resolver transducers

Description:
Finally, a compact low cost programmable limit switch (PLS) with true ease of programming. A Two-level function keypad combined with a 4-line x 20 character vacuum fluorescent display, make programming set-ups a breeze.

The Genesis EasyPack PLS uses a single-turn resolver transducer for position feedback and has all of the functionality normally found in PLS systems and adhesive pattern controls. Included in these functions are either eight or sixteen programmable limit switch outputs that are based on the transducer’s position, programmed setpoints, and speed compensation advances.

Additional features also include Multiple Programs, Timed Outputs, and the ability to combine the outputs into groups that are conditioned by an input to perform specific packaging functions such as gluing, cartoning, or part rejection. The GN3A1-02C-10 additionally has Pulsed Outputs and a Shift Register input for high-speed vision system inspection & rejection applications.   EasyPack Genesis manual

PRESSPro GENESIS Programmable Limit Switch Controller for Stamping Press

  • Two level function operator keypad
  • Quick read vacuum fluorescent display
  • Press brake monitor
  • 100% compatible with entire line of AMCI brushless resolver transducers

Description:
Advanced Micro Controls, Inc. is a leading designer of stand alone controllers for the stamping press industry. The PRESSPro Genesis represents over 20 years of engineering experience and manufacturing expertise in the field of metal stamping fabrication.

The PRESSPro Genesis is packaged with software to control programmable limit switch (PLS) outputs for crankshaft synchronisation and Die Monitor (DM) inputs to protect press dies and machinery. The software also includes a brake monitoring function that outputs a fault signal if the stopping time of the press exceeds a user defined time value. The display/keypad is used to program a variety of software data screens enabling the creation/storage of up to 50 custom tool setups for all your stamping press control applications.

In turn, the PRESSPro Genesis provides users with flexibility while ensuring the reliable operation of their press machinery.  PRESSPro Genesis Manual

iPLC – Programmable Limit Switch Controller for Stand Alone Applications

Features:

  • Synchronizes machine functions
  • Limit switch outputs
  • System expansion capabilities
  • Tachometer
  • Motion detect output
  • Inhibit input
  • 100% compatible with entire line of AMCI brushless resolver transducers
  • Compatible with many other manufactures’ transducers when used with AMCI’s RM reference modules.

Description:
Series iPLC systems are designed to accurately synchronize machine functions to the absolute position of a rotating shaft. Each system provides a number of programmable limit switch (PLS) outputs, which may be used to control machine functions with mechanical or solid state relays in a stand-alone system or in conjunction with Programmable Limit Controllers (PLCs) or industrial computers. Additional standard features include a Tachometer, Motion Detector (MD) output, and Inhibit input. A wide variety of software and hardware options are also available.

The minimum configuration for each iPLC System includes: 1) a controller unit which includes an operator display/keypad for monitoring the system, as well as programming the PLS and MD outputs; 2) a relay board or interface module for transferring input/output signals; and 3) a brushless, resolver-based transducer.

System expansion capabilities allow you to add up to four transducers and multiple relay boards to provide up to 64 PLS outputs, with multiple limit setpoints programmable for each output channel. Each system can include one, two, or four transducers to support one-axis, two-axis or four-axis, applications. 100 Turn and 180 Turn Absolute Software options are also available to support high resolution multi-turn absolute limit applications.  IPLC – PLS Manual
